About this place

Tegallalang Rice Terrace

Tegallalang’s emerald terraces cascade down both sides of a narrow valley just north of Ubud. They are watered by subak, a UNESCO-recognised irrigation system managed cooperatively by farmers since the 9th century.

Walk down the paths into the terraces, sip a coconut at a cliff-side café, or try one of the jungle swings on the ridge.
