Tour overview

Balinese Heritage Artistry: Silver Crafting & Batik Tour

Bali’s villages have specialised in crafts for generations: silver in Celuk, wood carving in Mas, batik and weaving in Tohpati. On this hands-on day, you don’t just watch — you make.

Create a silver ring or pendant in a family workshop, learn the wax-resist art of batik, and visit a traditional house compound to see how daily offerings and family temples shape Balinese life.

Experience story

Leave Bali with something you made

Artist drawing hot wax onto fabric with a canting tool

In a small workshop in Celuk, a third-generation silversmith shows you how to roll, cut, solder and polish silver. Two hours later you have a ring that fits perfectly and a story behind it.

After lunch, the batik studio in Tohpati is calm and colourful. Draw your design with a canting pen of hot wax, choose your colours, and watch your pattern appear as the wax is boiled away.
